Veteran's War Memorial Walking Trail Park is the future site of the Viceroy Performing Arts Center, where residents and visitors will enjoy concerts and activities throughout the year.

WELCOME TO OAK GROVE!

Kentucky’s Rising Star is located on the Kentucky/Tennessee border just off Interstate 24. We are the home of the 101st Airborne Division and offer a full array of activities, accommodations and wonderful places to dine.

 

War Memorial Walking Trail & Viceroy Performing Arts Center

101 Walter Garrett Lane, Oak Grove, KY

Located just off 1-24’s Exit 86, this trail features markers honoring all U.S. wars and conflicts. Special monuments are on site for Vietnam War Veterans and a heartfelt poem for soldiers. Casually stroll along the well-lit wooded trail featuring plants natural to this area. Picnic tables are available to enjoy a special meal at the park. In addition to the original trail an extension has been added. This earth friendly meandering trail offers a scenic respite to both nature and exercise enthusiasts.

The War Memorial Walking Trail will soon include the Viceroy Performing Arts Center,

a Multi-Purpose Event & Convention Center and a family recreation area.

JEFFERSON DAVIS MONUMENT

11 miles North of Oak Grove Exit 89 on Hwy 115, Fairview, KY

This 351 foot concrete obelisk was constructed to honor Jefferson Davis, the Confederate President. The monument is located at the site of Davis’s birth. There is a visitor’s center, gift shop and picnic area.

Oak Grove is fortunate to have climate that makes golf a year round sport.

Two courses are located within a 10 minute drive.

DON F. PRATT MEMORIAL MUSEUM

Tennessee Ave, Bldg. 5702, Fort Campbell, Kentucky

Located within For Campbell, traces the history of the “Screaming Eagles” from World War II engagements to Vietnam to Operation Desert Storm.  Just outside the museum, various aircraft, military equipment and monuments are on display

LAND BETWEEN THE LAKES

A 170,000-acre outdoor playground, Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area is just a short drive from Oak Grove. LBL is an inland peninsula formed when the Cumberland and Tennessee Rivers were impounded, creating Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley. The area provides opportunities for boating, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, camping and over 200 miles of hiking trails.

Located at Fort Campbell Gate 10, the stables offer pony rides for children age 9 and under, and guided trail rides for ages 10 and up. Guided trail rides depart on the hour
